Kevin: We're not much for New Year's resolutions, but during our Christmas Vacation at the end of 2024, the Turner clan was on a trip up in Eureka and read a book together about food. Mostly, the conversation lent us to talking about all the good food Michelle and I ate in Italy while we spent a couple weeks there for our 20th Anniversary, but as we continued listening to it (and other books mind you), we became inspired to rethink how we ate, what we ate, and wanted to focus on a more purposeful approach to food and family time. The preparation of food, while at times is a long and laborious process, is a bonding experience. We talk, laugh, and have a good time together while we take the time to really prepare good-tasting food. We are currently about three weeks into the new year, and we have prepared a new meal, even on our busiest days, every day. So to catalogue our experience for ourselves, we decided to prepare this blog and hopefully have something fun to look back on as we started this journey together. In the off chance that anyone else is interested in what we did, and decides to look through this humble blog, the following are our pictures, thoughts, and if we have time, recipes for what we are calling Turner Tastes and Travels. We love looking back at our travels as we have catalogued those in video format on YouTube, so we thought we would include our pictures of eating here. Since we are starting 3 weeks in, the first few posts will probably be included in a burst of posts from late January, but we'll try to keep up as we eat up. Happy New Year and Bon Appétit.
